heart is heavy
for what is in the air
a drudgery of political sickness
wars are being waged
leaders keep justifying
the trickle economics keeps flying
no trickling in sight
the economic mirarge lives on
the gaps between have and have-knots continue to balloon
making the heart heavy.....
poverty is in the air
majority is not spare
upper minority is doing well
globalization is on the move
poverty is on the rise
States do their sanitizing
by creating highways and byways
bulldozing the slums
to hide the poverty from sight
heart is heavy
what is in the air
a human calamity in the waiting
