like dreaming it is never the same
I woke up to remind life's game
to reign in conscious the unconscious domain
until the news headlines came
to remind the media game
cover up, splice up, and color the news
for the powerful political toss up reign
never the same
full of rationalized streaks
to show what sells
or sell what could sell
no mercy
it is all dicey
the splendor of media game
simple is not simple any more
I woke up to open life's door
to see
to perceive
to glee
to slice a piece of toast
nothing to roast
nothing to coast
but to heave the deeper cleave
that comes with peace
in a troubling world
where leaders make foundations
collect fees
fly on jet plane
play the poverty politics game
to cover the sultan, and corporate chiefs ungodly deeds
simple is not simple any more
