the chill of cold
rolls over
bringing the dreary nights
life shivers, and hopes
for the spring to come, and bring
the summer warmth
to follow the fall's delight
alas, the cycle completes in a hurry
to be taken over by the coming chilly nights
life revolves like a chill of colds to return
followed by a short spring, summer, and fall
chilly streaks never leave
remain just around the hall
to remind the sad vestige the life brings
