Social Sludge

brain works for now

mind gets polluted, and dipped

in social sludge

social sludge abound

goes round and round

no end in sight

the social sludge darkens human plight

brightens only in it's rationalized swipe

god is always brought in to justify

all there is to justify the rationalized hype

soap operas swing the media reign

sludged minds hooked to media game

polluted minds crave for more sludge

media is happy to oblige to sweeten the crave

Pope is speaking about the burden of history

while making burden some history in real time

Imam, Pundit, and Rabbi keeping the competition alive

social sludge is kicking in high gear

it is a wonder that brain still works, at least for now
