flower feels a reprieve to live again

laugh again

trust again

once again bloom

meadows are in sight

new image shapes in delightful light

only to be hovered by image of the merciless wintry chill

clouding the delight again, and again

something must change to make image right

fresh air to surmount, and rise

to blow away the image of merciless wintry chill

new image to form to roam in delight around, and around

persistent fresh air to hold it's ground

for flower to sprout, and bring new fragrance to surround

away, far away from the merciless wintry chill
